Thank you for choosing Urban Playground where learning movement, safety, & fun are our top priorities! Attached is our parent's guide to the first week of class and beyond.

📆 Start date
School Year 2001-2022 at UP will start Friday September 3rd, 2021 and will end May 27th, 2022.

👟What to wear  
Students should wear “gym class” attire. T-shirt with athletic shorts or pants, and athletic sneakers that can be tied tight! No open toe or slip-on shoes. Any type of running or training shoes should work. We have a shoe cleaning station at the gym but also would appreciate clean shoes when entering class. Long hair should be tied UP. Please avoid wearing any clothing or jewelry that could get caught during class. We recommend bringing a water bottle. There is a water cooler against our back wall for refills. Please make sure beverages stay off gym floor. The bathroom is located in the back right hand corner of our facility, next to the blue wall. For a smoother start of class please have all students use the restroom prior to the scheduled star time of class. 

🚪Entrance
Enter UP from our back parking lot (Purple door). Note that transition periods from one class to another could be more congested. Red cubbies to store items during class are located at the back left hand corner of building (follow the fencing). This is designed to mitigate congregating in our front desk area.

⚠️ PARKING: Please do not park in the center of the parking lot or on the side of the building. Use the parking spots on one side of the lot or the gravel towards the grass on the other side. This will help ensure the flow of traffic in and out and the safety of our students!

😷 Covid-19 in Pennsylvania
*Our Covid Policy will be fluid based on PA guidelines and may change over time, when appropriate.

 COVID is tough, but Pennsylvanians are tougher.  

What we can do: It's important that everyone takes precautions to slow the spread of COVID-19 and get a COVID-19 vaccine. Together we can make a difference, slow the spread of the virus, and save lives. 

Effective May 31, COVID mitigation orders are lifted. Effective June 28, the order requiring universal face coverings is lifted statewide. We continue to urge Pennsylvanians to follow CDC guidance for wearing a mask where required by law, rule, and regulations, including healthcare, local business and workplace guidance. 

• We encourage participants that feel comfortable to wear masks, although we will leave this decision to individual parents.

• Please don't attend class, open gym, or event with flu or cold like symptoms.

• If a household member with symptoms is waiting for a covid test result, please don't attend class until a negative test result returns.

• Red cubbies have been added to our back left hand corner to avoid congestion upon entering gym.

• Hand sanitizer will continue to be available. Washing hands before and after class is encouraged.

⚡️Day 1
Coach Zac & Thomas will introduce themselves, the gym, & briefly go over key rules at the beginning of class.
Only participants during scheduled times are allowed in the "Gym Area". This includes everything inside our fences & purple chains; mats, ninja equipment, & grey carpet bonded foam. 
NEW! Certain nights we may have 2 different classes overlapping, running at the same time. The week in between summer and fall we will be adding more carpet bonded foam to the back of the gym to facilitate more floor space for class activities!

  🎈 BIRTHDAY PARTIES
Parties include private gym access, and our certified instructors lead groups through 90min of jam packed fun! 🎉

🥋 NINJA LEAGUE
We be hosting many home Ninja Tournaments at UP. Including UNAA(Ultimate Ninja Athlete Association) and FINA competitions in 2021-22!

Want extra practice or more fun, we have Open Gyms available almost everyday!

• Add unlimited Open Gyms for $60 (members only)

• Classes start 9/3 and run through 5/27

• Next months tuition will be added to each account last week of the month.

• Payments will automatically withdraw the day before each month begins

• First payment August 31st

• NEW members that join for the remainder of 2021 will be charged a registration fee of $20 dollars.

• ALL members will be charged the annual $30 membership fee (per family) the first week of January which will last all of 2022.

Payments are based upon (4) class per month, for 9 months (36 classes).
Holiday closures will be built in to the 36 week schedule.

Cancellation Policy If you wish to drop your membership please let our office know in advance, before tuition is charged (last day of each month). There is no cancellation fee.

Refund Policy No credit card or bank account refunds. All refunds are provided through account balance credit to be used for future classes, open gyms, or summer camps.

Makeup Policy Class rates are based off of (4) classes in a month. Winter weather or emergency makeups will be periodically scheduled throughout each session as necessary. Students absent due to illness may attend up to one makeup per month.
